Visitor Information
Visiting hours vary by unit and patient. Please check with the nurses’ station on the unit regarding visiting policies. In general, you should limit the number of visitors in the room at one time. In order to ensure the patient’s well-being, the nurses have discretionary authority regarding the number of visitors and the length of stay. However, we know that sometimes the best medicine for anyone is having loved ones nearby. If there are family members who are unable to come during the designated visiting time, please notify the nurse so that special arrangements can be made.
Adults and children with a communicable disease must, of course, refrain from visiting.
Please also note that St. Joseph Hospital is on a tobacco-free campus, so cigarettes and other tobacco products are prohibited in the hospital as well as on the grounds. Alcoholic beverages are also prohibited.
