St. Joseph Behavioral Health’s staff of mental health professionals is available to respond to calls or walk-in (physician referrals are not required) inquiries regarding adults age 18 and older. Free, confidential screenings can be scheduled to identify issues that impair day-to-day functioning. Inpatient, partial hospitalization and/or intensive outpatient psychiatric and substance abuse programs are available. A dedicated unit focuses on conditions such as anxiety/panic attacks, chemical dependencies and addictions, and depression in a calming healing environment.
Services include:
- Stabilization from life-threatening situations
- Detoxification from mood-altering drugs
- Medical evaluation to diagnose an underlying problem
- Individualized treatment plans and diagnosis education
- Medication evaluation and adjustment
- Group therapy, which enables patients to deal with issues that led to hospitalization while learning to relate to others in healthy ways
- Family therapy, education and support
- Discharge planning to assist in continuation of the healing process
- Spiritual therapy group
