FOCUSING ON THE NEEDS OF THE ELDERLY.

Hospitalization can be difficult for any patient, but if a patient is elderly it can be especially complex. It can lead to feelings of helplessness, immobilization, isolation, weight loss and depression. But with St. Joe’s ACE program (Acute Care for the Elderly) the focus is not only on getting over an illness, but also on regenerating strength and maintaining or maximizing function during the course of hospitalization.

• Shorter hospitalization.
• Strengthening with physical and social activities, music and mentally challenging activities.
• Support extended even after the patient returns home.
• Membership to Lutheran Health Network's Senior Circle program for one year.
