Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation
The treatment of cardiac and pulmonary disease can be complicated, confusing and frustrating for patients and those who care for them. To make understanding these diseases less trying, the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Program at St. Joseph Hospital provides a comprehensive outpatient program that enhances patient comfort and understanding of the diseases while improving heart and lung function. Coronary Intensive Care Unit
St. Joe’s CICU represents the very latest in cardiac technology and patient comfort. The eight-bed facility is specially designed to provide immediate, personalized care to patients recovering from a heart attack or other coronary problems, as well as those awaiting balloon angioplasty treatment.
All rooms are large and private but allow for 24-hour observation by certified cardiac registered nurses. Nurse modules are strategically placed outside each room so nurses can watch patients directly while sitting at the module.
Because of the serious nature of heart problems, visiting hours in the CICU are restricted to help the patient rest. CICU patients may have only two visitors at a time, three times a day. Visitors should be limited to immediate family (spouse or significant other, parent, sibling or child age 14 or older).
CICU visiting hours
9 a.m.–2 p.m. and 5–8 p.m.
