Referrals
The Regional Wound Care Center is designed to accompany you on your path to better health. We adopt a multidisciplinary approach to care and work in conjunction with your family doctor or specialist. For a consultation, ask your personal physician to call the Regional Wound Care Center and refer you. We will schedule an appointment as soon as possible.
Hyperbaric Medicine
We also offer hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) therapy to aid in wound healing. HBO therapy works by saturating plasma with oxygen, which results in increasedoxygen delivery to hypoxic areas such as chronically infected, irradiated and compromised tissue. HBO therapy also enhances the white blood cells’ capacity to kill bacteria and helps reduce edema through vasoconstriction. The hyperbaric physician acts as a consultant and works closely with your primary care physician to determine the best course of treatment.
