Preschoolers Learn to Avoid Hot Surfaces in the Home from St. Joseph Regional Burn and Wound Centers
WHAT: Nurses from the regional burn and wound centers at St. Joseph Hospital are educating approximately 40 preschoolers about burn prevention, particularly hot contact surfaces and friction burns in and near the home, during a special presentation. Children will also learn about burn care.

WHY: The nurses from the regional burn and wound centers encourage everyone to take the time to review and implement safe practices during National Burn Awareness Week Feb. 6 - 11.
An informational booth is on display in the great hall of the main branch of ACPL throughout burn awareness week.
